Portugal

Another blue sky this morning that rapidly clouded in and then turned to rain.  I guess it is London!
David went on an early morning tour along the edge of the Thames on a borrowed kick scooter and returned on a Lime-ebike - of course he did!
We did a few chores before riding the underground and then express train to Stansted Airport.  The train ride was really interesting, especially seeing the narrow boats in the canals, along the way.
Predictably, our Ryan Air flight was delayed, but we seemed to make up time and arrived in a dreary, misty Porto.  Collected our rental car - a brand new Citron with 700 km on the clock.  We drove to Aveiro about 90 km south of Porto, to our Airbnb apartment.  It will be interesting to see what the place looks like in the daylight, it's hard to get the feel of a place when you arrive in the dark.
The owner met us and we ended up communicating via a translator app on his phone.  It was more than a little entertaining.
We managed to find a supermarket that was still open - we didn't get here until late - and found something for dinner before watching re-runs of Friends, on TV.  Just what you do on your first night in Portugal!

Hope your air b&b was ok when you saw it in daylight. I can see David will be riding lime scooters when he gets back home. Hell. Evan expert with all the practice he’s getting

Sounds fun. Remember arriving in Montclus in the dark!
