After a great sleep (horizontal, as opposed to an aeroplane seat) we were all feeling heaps better. Visited some of the 'must do' shops - M & M World, Hamley's and explored some of the old lanes near Covent Garden. Pizza lunch with dough balls and garlic butter - much needed sit-down and warm up. The weather took us a bit by surprise, it was so cold, even colder than Dunedin!
This afternoon Ella went off on a solo expedition, exploring Oxford Street to fulfil a wish to visit Selfridges. She managed to navigate her way safely back to our meeting place, on time, which was a challenge in itself, the city was heaving with people. When we were planning our visit to London we had forgotten that it is Easter. Feels like most of England is visiting the city.
We got bargain tickets to The Commitments musical at the Palace Theatre. Our seats were in the Gods but the music was still brilliant. Couldn't help but tap your feet along to the music. Bed will be good.
