Yesterday Ella went on a personal tour of London while we went for a day out of the city. Ella navigated her way around
her favourite sites and was in shopping heaven - she is determined to come back and maybe live in London. Her biggest challenge just now is fitting her purchases into her bag and making sure that they don’t weigh more than the 20 kg limit for Easyjet.
We went down to Brighton as we had never been there, then came back via a couple of villages stopping of for a ‘sort of’ picnic. Hired a very cute Fiat 500. Nice to be away from the city and into the sun. Brighton was an interesting mix of English by the seaside - including the seething masses who had arrived by the time we left. We enjoyed the stroll and looking at the varied architecture and yes, we even bought some Brighton rock!
Went to Madame Tussaurd’s last night. The queues previously had been crazy but booking online meant we could go straight in. Going later in the day also meant that there was room to move. The highlight - 1 Direction (well it was for Ella!) Weather has improved and the sky is clear this morning. We leave to head to the airport shortly where we fly to Madrid and meet up with the Brown’s and, hopefully some warm weather.
Hopefully when we leave England we can stop bleeding money!!!

Well done Ella. I was petrified the first time I was left by myself In Oxford St. Brighton beach packed with white bodies and men with knotted handkerchiefs on their heads is what I remember. Continue to enjoy your travels. Take care. Gay
