Stunning Scenery and More Ice

The views....  Hard to describe
Another early start this morning. I went to check out a place that the locals skate and didn't expect any ice - and there wasn't!  But was treated to some amazing views.  Had an enjoyable time with the camera.  Noticed some people wandering in the distance and thought I would go and have a look.  Found an amazing hot pool in the middle of nowhere!  Hmm no togs.... but just couldn't pass it up so...  Fabulous soak and views. Hopefully no one in the distance had binocs or a drone :-)
Met a 'local' on the way back and he told me they were built by workers many years ago (he did enquire about my towel....).
Found a skating spot in an arm of  Lake Crowley.  Had a great time just cruising on the ice before dragging myself away.
Decided to visit Mammoth Lakes again.  Beautiful area.  Ended up using the Nordic skates on a series on small connected lakes. Fabulous backdrop.
From there I drove the June Lake Loop.  Wow scenery again!   Went in to check Lundy Lake and 2 thirds of the lake was covered in amazing ice.  Ended up skating in the dusk and late back to where I am staying but what a day.
